The New York Police Department appears in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Rizzoli) comics. Their mission is to enforce the law, preserve peace, protect the people, reduce fear, and maintain order. They often arrive to deal with story antagonists, including Shredder, Krang and their minions.

The New York Police are seen in the first panel of Dottor Leonardo Mister Hyde episodio 1 when a number of officers attempt to arrest both Shredder and Leonardo. The scene represents the present before flashing back to the events leading up to the confrontation.
When a giant mutant pizza blob, created by Krang, attacks the city, the police arrive and attempt to take it down. Their gunfire has no effect on Pizzona and the police give way to the army. Diavola d’una pizza
In Il tiranno della preistoria parte seconda, a pair of motorcycle officers are sent to investigate a report that Godzilla is terrorizing Times Square. When they arrive, they see the giant mutated Tyrannosaurus named Rex. They swiftly turn their motorcycles around and decide to go report in immediately.
