The New Battle Shell is a vehicle introduced during the fourth season episode Insane in the Membrane, of the 2003 TV series. It is disguised as a moving van, with the words "Tortuga Bros. Moving - Since 1984" printed on it. Tortuga is the Spanish word for turtle, and 1984 was when the first issue of Eastman and Laird's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was published. Like the later Turtle Taxi, the New Battle Shell was designed to be more inconspicuous compared to the previous one.
