The Natural History Museum is a location in New York City which appears in the Tales of the TMNT. The museum is where the Jersey Bight, a huge pearl, was placed after a fishing trawler pulled it up from the East River.
History[]
The Natural History Museum is first mentioned in Raph vs. Water. Stephen, the excavator operator, tells Raphael that he doesn’t know why East River Three wanted to take down the seawall, he only knows that would have flooded the city. He shows Raph the Natural History Museum visitors pamphlet. Raph, Scumbug, Wingnut and Stephen hide when the East River Three arrive. Goldfin tells his friends that they will continue with the plan and for Lee the Eel to tunnel her way to the museum.
As Lee tunnels her way towards the museum, she causes mini-quakes which tear up the city streets. As she passes beneath Khatri's Foodmart, her tunneling causes the center of the store to collapse, creating a huge hole. Lee comes up through the hole and accuses Michelangelo of trying to stop her from reaching the museum.
In Leonardo Saddles Up, Leonardo chases Pigeon Pete through the city, not realizing that the mutant pigeon is tracking Mustang Sally and Lee the Eel through the underground tunnels. Clinging to Pete's leg, Leo winds up crashing through a window of the Pump Station. He soon realizes something is wrong when he checks the nearby machinery and finds it is overheating. Leo is attacked by Mustang Sally, who assumes he is there to stop the East River Three's plans. Though Leo tries his best to stop Mustang Sally, he is at a disadvantage due to police interference. Leo and Pete escape the pump station and the police, but the machinery overheats and explodes, shooting stored water out of the building to flood the street and the Natural History Museum next door, which was the plan.
