Nakamura was personal advisor to Oroku Yori at a time when Yori ran the Foot Clan as a business instead of as a ninja clan. Nakamura had a large degree of insubordinate influence over Yori in directing the Foot Clan, a fact which Yori's young daughter Karai despised. Nakamura would later be assassinated by own Karai's own hand; with him gone, Yori was weak enough that Karai soon took over full control of the Foot Clan and started transforming it back into a ninja clan.
