The Mystic Collar was an object in Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Description[]
The Mystic Collar was a collar with a green woven band and an eye with a purple iris and an angular red pupil at the collar's bottom. It was originally owned by Big Mama and it operates in tandem with the Mystic Ring. The Collar forced its wearer into a state of blind servitude to the wearer of the Mystic Ring. When accepting a command, the Collar made its wearer's eyes glow green briefly. It is incredibly difficult to remove, only able to be destroyed by the Shredder's strength after being fully resurrected. The Collar was seemingly highly flexible as it is shown to be at two different sizes, growing when worn by the Shredder.
History[]
The Collar debuted in "Many Unhappy Returns". Big Mama offered to use it to aid Splinter and Leonardo to render the Shredder powerless in "Many Unhappy Returns". Beforehand, she demanded that Splinter compete against Kraken Tom and the Evil Six in her Battle Nexus. After Splinter and Leo emerged victorious, Big Mama lent the Collar to them and the Mad Dogs worked together to put it on the Shredder in New York. With the Shredder subdued, Big Mama placed him in her custody despite promising to return him to the Twilight Realm.
The Shredder continued to wear the Collar as shown "The Hidden City Job", where he was being forced to compete in the Battle Nexus as "Shadow Fiend".
Big Mama had the Shredder defend her against the Mad Dogs, Splinter, Foot Recruit, and Baron Draxum when they tried to steal the Mystic Orb from her in "Battle Nexus: New York". However, Big Mama's command was usurped by Foot Recruit once she took the Mystic Ring. Foot Recruit ordered the Shredder to "destroy [his] enemies" and he attacked everyone in the Grand Nexus Hotel. He followed Foot Recruit's order to topple the Grand Nexus Hotel and fled with Foot Recruit before it collapsed.
In "Finale Part 1: E-Turtle Sunshine of the Spotless Mind". The Shredder returned to the Foot Shack with Foot Recruit and with the Collar denying his autonomy, Foot Recruit called for its removal after using the Shredder to intimidate Foot Brute and Foot Lieutenant into giving her control. The Collar was ripped to pieces by the Shredder upon regaining consciousness.
