A certain Hamato Clan ancestor (credited as Mystic Aura) appears in Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. In the episode "End Game", Splinter consulted his scrolls on his next step of action. His dilemma was whether to give his teapot Skully (which was actually the final piece of the Kuroi Yōroi) to Baron Draxum and save his captured sons in exchange for dooming humanity, or to not give up the final piece and keep humanity safe at the cost of losing his sons. His ancestor urged that his destiny was for the latter to take place. Splinter realized how unacceptable it was to give up his sons and shredded the scrolls in anger. He then chose a third option—to go and save his sons himself.
In the finale "Rise", the Mystic Aura appears as a first in the line of defeating Shredder, along with all ghosts of Hamato Clan. When Oroku Saki returns, the Mystic Aura disappears along with Saki, Karai and the other ghosts from their family.
Trivia
- The Mystic Aura is voiced by Hoon Lee, who was the voice of Hamato Yoshi a.k.a. Splinter himself in the previous animated series. Hoon Lee would also later voice the Rise of the TMNT version of Oroku Saki.
