A mutant turtle is a mutant with turtle characteristics. Most mutant turtles in the franchise have human intelligence and a humanoid body plan, and most of those mutated originally from ordinary non-sapient turtles, though these are not always the case.
A mutant ninja turtle is the same as above, only trained in Japanese ninjutsu.
A teenage mutant ninja turtle is the same as above, only between the ages of 13 to 19.
