Summary[]
An exhausted Shredder settles in for a nap inside the Technodrome. He’s left Bebop and Rocksteady on guard, but once they see he is deep asleep, they sneak away. Determined to prove they are not stupid and useless, they order the Footbots to follow them. The two mutants lead the Footbots up to the city streets and begin causing mayhem. Citizens run screaming as, following the mutants orders, Footbots destroy everything in sight. A pleased Rocksteady says that no one will be able to call them idiots again.
Just as he says that, the Turtles arrive and immediately lay into the Footbots. A frightened Bebop says that once the Turtles have dealt with the Footbots, they will be next. Rocksteady decides to throw a smoke grenade to cover their escape. Rather than smoke, the grenade explodes, sending Footbots parts flying. Bebop yells at his partner for throwing a real grenade.
The Turtles try to dodge falling Footbot parts, but they don’t move fast enough and each is struck on the head by large pieces of metal. Bebop and Rocksteady are astonished that they’ve managed to knock all four Turtles out cold. The two mutants stop a truck and the frightened driver flees. After loading the Turtles into the back of the truck, Bebop and Rocksteady drive away with them, determined to take them to the Technodrome to show Shredder.
Unfortunately for the pair of miscreants, they drive past a pizza shop and the smell of fresh pizza brings the Turtles back to their senses. The Turtles shout for Rocksteady to pull over, but instead, he and Bebop start to bail out of the truck. However, they don’t get far as the Turtles intervene. The Truck crashes, and the Turtles’ attack leaves two beaten mutants in the midst of the wreckage.
Later, back in the Technodrome, Shredder wakes from his sleep and asks his mutants if they have anything to report. They tell him things have been quiet, but when he turns to look at them, he sees both are wrapped in bandages. Shredder wants to know how they ended up looking like Egyptian mummies if all has been quiet. Rocksteady says it’s a long story and starts to tell it, but Shredder stops him, saying he’s probably better off not knowing.
