Mr. Murakami, also called Murakami-san, is an elderly blind man who owns and operates Murakami's Noodle Shop. He is a friend and ally of the Ninja Turtles and of April O'Neil's.
This version of Mr. Murakami is branched off from his previous version in the 2012 TV series. His history before the events of the Panini comics is the same as that of his animated version, and remains similar in many ways after the continuity split.

Slug (comic)[]
Murakami is a skillful Japanese noodle chef, who runs a noodle shop. He makes his debut in Slug (comic). Slug breaks through the wall of the noodle shop, thinking that he's busting into a bank. When Murakami sets him straight, the thief demands he be given all of the noodles. Murakami loads up a large bag of noodles and hands them over.
Blind Luck[]
In Blind Luck, Murakami is featured. Footbots, attempting to find the Turtles, enter the noodle shop. They are intent on hurting Murakami, but through a series of "mishaps", are eventually disabled by the blind chef. The Turtles are surprised to learn that Murakami can take care of himself.
