The Mud Dogs are a criminal Hidden City gang who are coincidentally similar in both name and appearance to Leonardo, Donatello, and Michelangelo. The Mud Dogs' gang name also happens to be similar to that of the Mad Dogs.

The Mud Dogs debuted in "Raph's Ride-Along". They met Raphael while in Hidden City Police custody under the belief that he was a fellow criminal named Heinous Green. They escaped from the police and soon after successfully robbed the Hidden City Police Station, eventually making their way to Big Mama's Battle Nexus where they discovered that Raph had tricked them and in turn, attempted to kill him.

- The Mud Dogs are voiced by three of the four voice actors of the Ninja Turtles from the 2012 TV series.
