Mr. Pebbles was a turtle-like rock creature from space who Donatello inadvertently brought back to Earth.
History[]
Spaced Out! (Panini)[]
Having recently returned to Earth from their adventures in space, the Turtles are trying to adjust to the change. Morale is low and everyone is irritable. In his lab, Donatello is examining an extra-terrestrial rock that he calls Specimen 261a, which came from the Planet Xaava-Dal. Michelangelo has been working on creating a musical, and comes bouncing into the lab. He’s not looking where he’s going and runs into Don, who drops the space rock on the floor. The two Turtles begin shouting at each other, neither noticing that the rock has broken. A sound draws their attention to it and they see a small creature, seemingly made of rock and shaped somewhat like a turtle. The rock was actually an egg. Mikey thinks the creature is super-cute and names it Mr. Pebbles.
Don shouts at Mikey to get back and when they look at Mr. Pebbles, he’s suddenly grown. Leonardo and Raphael enter the lab to fuss about all the noise. Don and Mikey start blaming each other, which causes the other two to yell at them. They suddenly notice that Mr. Pebbles has grown again and is now towering over them. Mr. Pebbles breaks out of the lair and heads for the surface, with the Turtles in pursuit. They are still arguing though, and Mr. Pebbles is still growing. When it becomes the size of a city block, they realize that their anger is feeding it. They try meditating to calm themselves, they try thinking happy thoughts, but nothing works to assuage their anger. Then Mikey begins to present his musical, dancing and singing for his brothers. By the time he reaches the end of his performance, his brothers are laughing – and Mr. Pebbles is shrinking. Mikey starts performing again, happy for an audience and not caring that his brothers are rolling with laughter because they are also applauding him. Mr. Pebbles finally starts to break apart, with each section drifting back up into space.
