Mount Fuji
Mount Fuji (富士山; Fuji-san) is the highest mountain in Japan, located on the island of Honshū. As one of the best known of Japan's "Three Holy Mountains," it features prominently in fiction. Fuji is also an active stratovolcano that marks the spot of the triple junction where the Eurasian, Okhotsk and Philippine tectonic plates meet; it last erupted in 1707–1708, and is expected to erupt again violently someday.
