Monstroid is a biomechanical god from the Abyss of Rakash on Eternia. He is a combination of high technology and stygian sorcery. He appears in the Turtles of Grayskull comic mini-series.
History[]
Having been captured by the Triceratons, the Turtles are taken to the Triceraton Homeworlds and into the Tri-Sports Arena. The Turtles are forced to fight the Triceraton All-Star Team, who they defeated once before. Added to the mix is He-Man, who has been included as one of the combatants. The fight begins, but the combined might of He-Man and the Turtles proves too much for the All-Star Team. As the audience begins to jeer and call for refunds, commentator Zed Larkin says that it looks like the crowd wants their money's worth and he agrees. He then says they will unleash another beast from the savage land of Eternia. Much to He-Man's dismay, Larkin announces that they will be facing Monstroid. When Donatello asks what a Monstroid is, He-Man answers that he doesn't ever want to know. On Raphael's suggestion, He-Man punches the ground and opens a huge pit into the hangar beneath the arena. They are followed by the gigantic Monstroid, with a Triceraton rider atop its head. He-Man warns the Turtles that Monstroid has claws, laser eyes, and he can spin around like the eye of a hurricane. The Turtles quickly ninja-vanish and when He-Man wonders where they are, Renet Tilley shows up and tells him that vanishing is what ninjas do. She tries to get He-Man to leave with her, but Monstroid attacks. He-Man uses his Power Sword to block a laser blast, but his arm is partially burnt in the process. He-Man explains that the beast is a biomechanical god from the Abyss of Rakash and that Monstroid doesn't like him one bit - the feeling being mutual. Just then the Turtles arrive in a stolen airship and they all make their escape, avoiding Monstroid's laser eyes as they fly away from the Triceraton Homeworlds. Turtles of Grayskull issue 2
