Mikaeru Haato (みかえる・はーと) is a mangaka, illustrator and character designer who worked on Comic BomBom version of Mutant Turtles.
Born in Hyogo Prefecture, he loves cats. He was affiliated with the toy planning company Lay-Up, and made his debut in the magazine "Mokei Joho" in 1987 under his real name, 山羽二貴.
After becoming independent as a manga artist, he began serializing manga, including adult works, under the pen name Michael Haracho (マイケル原腸, Maikeru Haracho). He also worked under the names Otsuichi Oyumifuto (乙一大弓冬), Mikaeru Heart (みかえる・はーと), and Masaki Issa (真佐木一佐).
In 2008, he changed his name to Michael Karawata (まいけるからわた, Maikeru Karawata). These days he works as a sculptor.
