Summary[]
Just as Wyldfyre and the Putty Patrollers ravage New York City, April and the Ninja Turtles arrive and they morph for the first time. Meanwhile, the Power Rangers are despondent about not being able to do anything. Splinter reminds them that it's who they are that make them Rangers, not the powers. They suit up with some stealth gear and head out with Casey Jones to save Tommy.
Back topside, the Turtles and April are enjoying their new powers and letting loose on the Putties, with April taking charge like a natural. However, their fun is cut off short when Wyldfyre decides to get serious.
Casey and the Rangers travel the sewers in the Turtle Van, following a micro-transmitter that Billy placed on Shredder during their fight. They find the Technodrome and infiltrate, attacking the Foot Clan guards and coming across Baxter Stockman intending to take fluid and tissue samples from Tommy. Stockman flees, leaving the Rangers free to rescue Tommy. On their way out, they encounter Tyler and more Foot.
April and the Rangers continue their fight against Wyldfyre and save some civilians. They put together their weapons to create a Power Blaster, decimating Wyldfyre and earning the admiration of onlookers.
In the Technodrome, Stockman unleashes his newest experiment, the Putty Soldier Elite, Foot Elite soldiers fused with Putty substance. These new creations prove to be chaotic, with them attacking the other Foot as well as Casey and the Rangers, including Tyler. This gives Tommy the opportunity to finally get through to Tyler, and he with the other Elite Foot escape the Technodrome along with Casey and the Rangers.
Having lost Tommy, Rita and Shredder trade barbs for a bit before realizing that they should be working together for a more direct approach to get the job done. The Technodrome suddenly erupts from the middle of Central Park , and Bebop and Rocksteady step out. Rita then casts her magic and says:
"...Make these mutants grow!"
Now of massive stature dwarfing even the Technodrome, Bebop and Rocksteady barrel through Central Park. The Ranger and Turtle teams watch the madness on TV, and since the Rangers' connection to the Morphin Grid has still not been restored, only one option remains.
The Turtles and April then pilot the Megazord into battle with the massive mutants.
