Synopsis

Weapons clash; Sai against Power Sword, Katana against Power Dagger, Nunchaku against Power Lance, Sai also against Power Axe, and against Power Bow. Among this battle, the Ninja Turtles and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers come to an understanding, realizing that the corrupt ninja clan the Rangers' friend Tommy had joined are the Turtles' long-standing enemies, the Foot.

The Rangers and Turtles duck out just in time for Channel 6 news to drop in. April O'Neil reports on the break-in at Mason Technologies, but her cameraman points out how she conspicuously left out the Turtles. She replies that there was no proof they were there.

Meanwhile at the Technodrome, Shredder commends Tommy's work and offers him a promotion to Jōnin in the Foot Elite.

Back in New York City, the Rangers demorph and introduce themselves. Leonardo offers them to follow the Turtles into the sewer, where they will walk and introduce themselves. Down in the Turtle Lair, April comes down and berates the Turtles for fighting the Power Rangers out in the open. At this moment, Zack Taylor, the Black Ranger, points out that there's a "giant rat" sitting in the corner. Splinter introduces himself and apologizes for his sons' behavior. Jason Lee Scott, Red Ranger, tells him mistakes were made on both sides.

Some Foot Elite train elsewhere, and Tommy grabs one of them, Tyler, and pulls him away. It seems Tommy has been asked by Tyler's father (or perhaps step-father, based on his reaction) to find what "martial arts cult" he'd joined up with and bring him back. Tyler has no interest in leaving the Foot, though, and knocks Tommy out for his Master Shredder.

Kimberly Hart, Pink Ranger, joins April at Channel 6 to do some research on attempting to find Tommy. April tells her to just tell anyone who asks (especially Vernon), that she's April's new intern.

At this time, Billy Cranston, the Blue Ranger, attempts to reconfigure Donatello's Geiger counter to convert it into a "morpher tracker". Don, however, is too busy showing off his accomplishments in an effort to impress the young Ranger. Don finally hits the mark when he mentions "rocket-powered skateboards, and excites Don when he tells him that he could possibly use some help improving the Megazord.

A child had phoned the Channel 6 tip line with a note about a ninja star found at a building, where Karai is supervising some training of Foot Ninja. The Rangers and Turtles crash through a window, and Trini Kwan (Yellow Ranger) instantly begins mocking that their main enemies are "kids in pajamas". Raphael fires back that they're just a warmup, and usually they're spending their efforts against the likes of Rock Soldiers and Rat King. Michelangelo and Zack also fight some Foot Ninja, while discussing pizza toppings.

Jason and Leo struggle against Karai, and discuss which sword techniques they'll need to overcome her. Trini just cuts through the malarkey and knocks Karai out with a kettle bell. When Karai comes to, they try to force her to take them to the Technodrome, but she refuses.

Back on the Technodrome, Tommy awakens in a cage. He finds out Tyler betrayed him and that Shredder knew who Tommy was the whole time. Tommy morphs into the Green Ranger to attempt to break out, but Shredder blasts him and thanks him for showing him how to operate the Power Morpher.

On the Moon, Rita Repulsa, the arch-nemesis of the Power Rangers, feels a shift in the Morphing Grid, indicating that someone new holds Tommy's Dragonzord Power Coin, which was once in her possession. She takes her troops down to Earth to confront the new user. Rita is barred by Bebop and Rocksteady from entering, but Shredder approaches the witch. She brushes him off, saying she doesn't care who he is, she just wants the coin. Shredder, fed-up, uses the Power Morpher and becomes the Green Ranger.
