Summary[]
Shredder leads the Ninja Turtles into Krang's stronghold in Dimension X. Along the way, the Turtles and Saki discuss their opposing viewpoints and methods, with Mikey most pointedly being an irritant to The Shredder.
Meanwhile in Angel Grove, Splinter leads the Mutant Rangers against the forces Rita Repulsa had sent, and helps them acclimate to their new forms. Tommy tries to reason with Leatherhead, telling him to ditch Rita and Krang and join their team as now they are (mostly) all "lizards". Leatherhead declines, saying that after their takeover he is getting the entire state of Louisiana, and "maybe even some of Florida" to himself. Kimberly responds by swooping in and grabbing Leatherhead by the shoulders and taking him high into the sky.
At the now-decimated Command Center, Rita berates Bebop and Rocksteady for letting the hostages escape. The two goons try to make good with her by saying they brought "friends" of the Rangers - Bulk and Skull. Rita recognizes them and orders the mutants to interrogate them thoroughly. Bulk and Skull try to worm their way out by appealing to Bebop & Rocksteady's need to be rich and offer to shoot a documentary of them, which will also make them famous.
Rita and Krang talk about the Rangers' mutation and how to proceed next. Krang says that instead of sending out reinforcements, Rita should have Traag cut off their exit points and Baxter Stockman prevent them from teleporting out. Casey returns from a mission for the villainous duo, but Rita reveals that she not only knows that he was responsible for the Turtles and Shredder gaining access to Dimension X, but that he had been playing them the entire time, and she was only biding her time while he had made himself useful to their cause. Casey tries to attack Rita, but she stops him with her magic and roughs him up, saying that he's always had the heart of a turtle.
The Turtles and Shredder make their way through Krang's stronghold, with Raph and Leo fighting through Rock Soldiers while Don, Mike, and Shredder try to access the system's power node. Mikey finds the broken Dimension X Power Morphers. Mike takes them and the two groups meet up, coming across Karai in containment. Shredder orders her freed so that she can assist in their fight. They are soon ambushed by Goldar, Squatt, Baboo, Finster, and a handful of the Rangers' past one-shot enemies. Shredder orders Karai to leave and rally the Foot Clan for backup, but she refuses to leave him. Just then, the Power Morphers start to glow, and the Turtles take advantage of the fact that the once-thought depowered Morphers are apparently active again, morphing into Dimension X Rangers with new powers and allowing them to turn the tide.
Kimberly drops Leatherhead and he tries to take Tommy up on his offer, but he says that it has expired. With their foes all felled, the Rangers call for Alpha to teleport them out, but they are unable to reach him. Suddenly, Krang appears in the Megazord.
