Summary[]
Casey has tracked down Karai after threatening a couple of new Foot recruits for her whereabouts. He's vague about something "bad" coming but needs to get Shredder's location out of her. They fight with Casey mostly having an upper-hand, but a mysterious black orb appears behind him. Karai tells him to look behind himself, with Casey refusing to fall for the "trick", but then he's suddenly knocked out by an unseen assailant.
A week later at the Gym and Juice Bar in Angel Grove, California, Zack goes to order some drinks, when the proprietor, Ernie, asks what his "friends" are having. Zack looks over his shoulder and sees two unexpected human teenagers - Donatello and Michelangelo. As they order, Don's hands start glitching back into turtle hands, and Billy distracts him by asking for two kale smoothies while he walks away with Donnie.
At a table, April wonders why Trini and Kimberly aren't worried about the apparent return of Rita Repulsa. Trini offers that Billy has all sorts of sensors in place to monitor for her return, and also there's always a Rita or Shredder or someone to contend with, so worrying about one of them potentially showing up isn't worth it. Bulk and Skull, utilizing fake clout as the Power Rangers "close personal friends", try to score an exclusive interview with April for their web series.
Billy and Donnie return to Zordon's Command Center, and Billy inspects the hologram used to project a human appearance over Don, and discovered that there was sediment that caused it to glitch out. Meanwhile, Donnie is still exhilarated at having been able to appear out in public, saying he hasn't been able to last since he was a Power Ranger, himself. Donnie asks about "Shadow Morphers" that Billy is working on and Don is helping test, and Billy says there's some kinks to still work out, then says they should go start modifications to the Dragonzord.
Meanwhile, Jason and Leo train in a swordfight sparring match. Leo elbows Jason in the head and the two of them clash swords. Leo asks if he will surrender; Jason says never. Leo then proposes, instead, a break, to which he does agree. After taking said break, Jason asks where Leo learned that elbow strike, and he said he'd lifted it from Raphael, but not to tell him. Jason can relate, as he used Tommy's signature axe kick once and has still not heard the end of it.
Tommy and Raph meanwhile join Tyler, Tommy's old buddy he pulled out of the Foot Clan, on a rooftop in New York City. Tyler and all of the ex-Foot had been working for Casey watching over the city, but Casey had just suddenly disappeared. Not only that, multiple Turtles villains - Leatherhead, Slash, and Karai, for example, have also gone missing. Raph has an idea of who to ask for a lead, though.
Down in the sewer, Tommy and Raph confront a mock-knight decked out in armor, Sir Swale. Swale is suddenly called off by his master - The Rat King. Rat King apologizes that his "protectors" (the rats) were aggressive, but had assumed they were there to abduct their "king" as well. Raph says they were just looking for a friend, but Rat King says he was addressing "the Ranger" - as it was a Ranger who had been abducting the villains.
Rikers Island. Baxter thanks his cellmate Creager for protecting him during their incarceration. Suddenly a wall to their cell is smashed and Rocksteady and Goldar have appeared under Krang's direction to break Stockman out. Rocksteady and Goldar fight through security, but are suddenly confronted by the combined teams of the Power Rangers and the Ninja Turtles. During the fight, Stockman tries to radio Shredder, and gets no frequency. Don helpfully points out that recoiling the battery pack could help with the range, but that just serves to Stockman off.
Casey suddenly arrives, and Raph slugs him for disappearing on them, then hugs him and tells him not to do it again. He asks Casey to go help Don and Trini take Stockman back into custody. Don is understandably excited to see Casey is safe, but is abruptly smacked on the back of the head by him. Casey suddenly morphs into a Power Ranger, alluding that he was the one capturing the villains. Casey attacks Mikey and keeps the Turtles and Rangers from cornering Goldar and Rocksteady, then the three of them abscond with Stockman through a portal.
