In the Image continuity, Michelangelo's apartment is what the Jones Basement Apartment becomes when Michelangelo is the only one still living there after his brothers have moved out. Since his surrogate sister April O'Neil is the landlady, his presence there can be kept secret from the rest of the building's tenants. Mikey's apartment becomes a regular retreat and scene of events throughout Image TMNT volume three, also sometimes serving as a temporary home for Splinter and Dr. X. Usually living alone, Mikey spends much of his time in this apartment with his typewriter in the hopes of becoming a published novelist.
