Plot Synopsis

It starts off with the turtles fighting Kraang, but Donnie's bo staff gets exploded in the fight. He wishes to possibly use a Technology against The Kraang as a "weapon Improvement", so he drags a Kraang-droid back to the sewer to figure out how the robots function. Donatello is able to use The Kraang Tech to create a cool-styled robot turtle, dubbed "Metalhead" by Michelangelo. Metalhead features a lazer blaster, rock-hard armor, and a flame gun. Little that Metalhead can't do. Donnie is able to take the Technology the Kraangs provided, and form it into controlling Metalhead's body. At first, Raphael and Leo make fun of Donnie for his apparently "tiny" creation, but Raph and Leo are proven wrong when Donnie is able to make the robot into beating down Raphael, Mikey, and Leonardo. Splinter, however, tells Donatello that he can only take Metalhead out for a test only. Donnie disobeys him and plans to take Metalhead into combat against The Kraang. Meanwhile, April suggests that they should look more into the Kraang's plots and maybe eventually get to April's dads location. However, as shown, April is proven to be quite handy in this deed, when she is able to spy on one of The Kraang-Bot's conversations with each other. One of the robots hears a fire extinguisher fall that April pushed on accident. April is able to outsmart the droid though, sneaking up on it, and crushing it with a sledgehammer, and later April tells Leo that The Kraang are planning to poison the city's water supply with mutagen, so they can complete their line of experiments, or something like that. We don't yet know what or why The Kraangs are trying to mutate humans or whatever they're up to. However, we do know they're planning to kidnap scientists, but we don't know why either........  Donatello brings Metalhead fully under control, out of the sewer and plans to fight the Kraang with him. However, Leonardo instructs Metalhead to stay out of the fights, as he thinks Metalhead is too clumsy, as he may be. Donatello controlled Metalhead back at the lair. However, when Mikey, Raph, and Leo can't defeat all The Kraangs at once, Metalhead comes in and assists them, but when Metalhead's lazer blaster accidentally hits some explosives in The Kraang's lab, a brain is able to take control of him, breaking the signal allowing Donnie to control Metalhead. However, Splinter says enough fooling around, you have to save your brothers now, so Donnie does just that. Despite Donatello struggling to accept his weapon as a "long twig" basically, he lets a giant pole fall on the robot, allowing the bo staff to poke into Metalhead's chest. The turtles succeeded, but Donnie still wants a missile-guided staff, but it malfunctions, and Donnie says RUN.

Quotes

  • April: Guys. We gotta do something. The Kraang are planning to replace the water supply with mutagen!
  • Leo: If they turn water into mutagen, the city will become a disaster area.
  • Donnie: (through Metalhead) There would mutants everywhere!
  • Mikey: Wow! Think of all the friends we'd make! (everyone stares crossly) Well excuse me for being a "glass-half-full" kind of guy!
  • Leo: Let's go!
  • Donnie: (through Metalhead) Yeah! The Kraang don't stand a chance against us. (Leo puts his hand at Metalhead) What?
  • Leo: Donnie. You can't come. Metalhead is just too clumsy.
  • Metalhead:Clumsy?! (knocks down bins) I did that on purpose to emphasize my point.

  • (Metalhead jumps on two Kraang-droids attacking them hands out of order) Metalhead: HIIIIIIIIYAA!
  • Leo: What are you doing? What is wrong with your arms?!
  • Metalhead: You mean my hands are not on my hips?
  • Leo: No! (Raph facepalms)

  • Metalhead: Oops! Forgot to press B (puts it right and destroys Kraang) So, Raph. How does it feel to be shown up by a toaster? (Raph feels embarrassed)
  • Mikey: Burn!
  • Metalhead: Yeah. I knew that has a good one.
  • Mikey: No! Burn!!! (Metalhead sets fire on two Kraang droids)

  • Donnie: (Donnie zooming in on April) Look at her, she so beautiful. On this monitor she can't tell I'm staring.
  • April: You do know that's not muted right?
  • Donnie: (screams)

Trivia

  • the protagonist of this episode is the Donatello
  • In the '87 episodes,Donatello reprogrammed Krang's robot which is also called "Metalhead".
  • a running gag in this episode is when Splinter lets Donatello do something that he wants to Donatello thinks Splinter said that he can't and says "no fair" and then realizing that Splinter actually did allow him to do the thing he wanted.
  • This is the first episode to focus on Donnie

Errors

  • In the scene of April and Metalhead on the roof, before he talks to her the background is blurred, but when he speaks the background suddenly snaps into focus.
