Hi! Would you have any interest in being a contestant on our upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles episode of Wikia's Qwizards? We're looking for three constants from Turtlepedia. There are prizes! (Here's our current episode , so you can see what it's like.)
If you'd like to be considered for one of the three spots, just leave me a message and I'll be in touch. Thanks!!
Do you think that full (adopted) name of Karai could be either Karai Saki or Karai Oroku (using English order)? I'm not entirely clear about the consistentcy of Shredder's nick name...
Like in 1987 series, Kazuo Saki is Shredder's brother, but in the Mirage comics, Oroku Nagi is his bro. I'm figuring that "Saki" is the given name and "Oroku" is the family name and that the 1987 cartoon series just kinda messed it up and didn't understand how names are reversed.
I'm wondering if there's any indication about whether or not the 2013 series uses the Saki=given like comics or Saki=family like cartoon.
I agree about Miwa Hamato (or Hamato Miwa using Jap. order) but have we verified that Oroku is Shredder's surname in the 2013 series? With the whole "Splinter was human" thing going back to the 90s series (rather than 2000s where I think they made him original rat like comics) it made me wonder if they might've flipped Shredder's name in the comics like they had in the 90s.
well i had heard that they messed up in the 80's cartoon that they made saki the surname but in the original comics there was oroku nagi who was shredders brother. so you know oroku nagi oroku saki, so oroku is probably the surname
Yeah I guess I'm not sure whether the naming scheme of the comics is being used in 2012 series. For all I know they are using Oroku/Hamato as the given names and Saki/Yoshi as the family names like the 80s series. Suspicious of this based on the human splinter thing. Although we did get a hacker April and black Baxter like in the 2003 and comics so it's hard to say.
yea thats true, but i would say that they are using the right way of using the names cuz these guys working on the sow really know there stuff but thats just my opinion and i have no confirmation so yea.
Possibly reviewing the transcripts could give us a better indication? I expect some monologue of Splinter's could enlighten us, though I'm unsure. He does tend to use a lot of Japanese terminology when instructing the turtles (quite unlike 90s cartoon), so one might expect that he would use family>given order when referring to himself and Shredder's real names.
Can You please tell the administrator Known as "The S" to change the Michelangelo page back the way it was because i do not agree with him deleteing the info box and all those pargraphs and turning it into whatever it is now
Moderator. A wikia superiour. And, why was the Michelangelo page changed? It's different, but the rest of the pages for each individual series are okay, so I'm fine with it, but I'm just wondering why it was changed.
Bumped you to Bureaucrat standing here, you seem dedicated to the wikia and most others that had this status have went inactive. Having founded the wikia and had life take over for me, I try to check back occasionally and make sure the best people for the job have the rights to run the wikia so that it stays alive. Thank you for all your hard work!
Hello, Queenbean, it's come to my attention that alot of people upload images that are already on the wiki. Not only that but, people also upload images without any intent on using them on an article. Like a few recently uploaded images of the 2012 turtles, they are already on the wiki AND they are not being used on any page. I think that is very stupid and, to me, shows a lack of control here. I think it'd be best if there was a policy that prevents people from uploading duplicate images. Thoughts?
Thank you for bringing this matter to my attention. You're right, there are a lot of repeated and unused images on this wiki, and I've deleted as many as I could today. We should probably bring this up with the other Admins to talk about a policy, though. I'm still new at this and it's hard to manage thousands of files by myself.
