  • I know Kirby King (2003 TV series) has the last name King, but as far as I'm aware, Kirby (Mirage) had no last name specified.

    • I don't think the 2003 Kirby was ever given a last name. The last name came from the sourcebook Transdimensional Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

    • Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh... I never really finished the 2003 series. My bad.

Then you realize that's still not part of the Mirage continuity, right? There are all sorts of references that appeared only in Palladium works that were never corroborated by Mirage materials. The only things appearing in Palladium that are part of the Mirage continuity are those things later reprinted or corroborated in Mirage's own publications, including:

While Mirage staff provided a lot of artwork to Palladium Books, they didn't write the RPG book texts or their details, and there are a lot of details that blatantly differ, most famously Raven Shadowheart vs. Hazel McIntyre. I remember that Peter Laird said that he never considered Palladium materials to be part of the Mirage continuity, his own art contributions notwithstanding. And even after Palladium let their own TMNT license lapse, they remained owner of characters and scenarios they designed, and they were never Laird's to sell to Viacom.

For a few years now, Turtlepedia has already been splitting Mirage and Palladium articles where they have differing details, and not relying on Palladium for any primary Mirage details. If Palladium Kirby is named Kirby King, then he's Kirby King. But Mirage Kirby is just Kirby—no King.

  • Hey again!

So I bring some great news on a new feature introduced at Fandom!

Special:Analytics is a new statistics tracking tool for admins on all Fandom wikis.

This feature includes some really insightful statistics that should allow you guys to inform some wiki decisions, such as:

    • Top viewed pages
    • # of page views (daily over the past 30 days)
    • Most visited files
    • Desktop vs mobile sessions
    • and more!

So as I mentioned above, this feature is really great as it allows you to see what areas are doing very well and how you can capitalise on them. For example, the tool shows the wiki's current most popular page by some distance is Jennika. You could take a look at that article and see if there is any more content that can be added to it to really flesh it out and give readers more information on this character they're interested in. The more rich (but not irrelevant or repetitive) information you can have on an article, the better its search engine optimisation will be. That's just one way this tool is super useful! :)

Hopefully you like this feature, it's been highly requested for some time and we would really appreciate your feedback on it. For more help with it, please feel free to ask me questions and also refer to these two super useful articles:

    Thanks!

  • Greetings,

I'm Brendan, the bureaucrat of Madagascar Wiki. I hope that you're in good health and are doing fine.

I am here to request for an affiliation between the TMNTPedia and the Madagascar Wiki. With this affiliation, I hope that we shall be able to collaborate to improve both of our Wikis and help each other in the future whenever in need.

Below are some information on the Madagascar Wiki:

    1. Name | Link: Madagascar Wiki | madagascar.fandom.com
    2. Wordmark: [1
    3. Affiliates page: madagascar.fandom.com/wiki/Template:Affiliates (template also appears on the sidebar of the Main Page)

I hope that everything is fine, and please tell me if anything has to be fixed, or if you need any more information on the Wiki.

Thank you, and have a nice day.

  • Hey there Dank! My name is Jamie and I work over on the Community Development team. We've been talking to Nickelodeon about the potential to work with the TMNT comminutes in various capacities, where they might provide different assets and other feedback requests.

They also wanted to know a bit about who runs these communities. So you know, whatever information you wanted to provide is strictly voluntary and confidential. Nothing will be done with this info other than giving Nick a bit of context about the folks running these communities. They'd like to know things like, your age, gender, other passions, do you have kids, are you married, and what you do for a living.

Feel free to email me at jfreedman@fandom.com or you can leave the blurb here, whatever you're comfortable with.

Also, I won't connect this info with the user, so it's completely anonymous. Anyway, thanks for reading!

  • Thank you for unblocking me :). What took you so long? I mean c’mon did I really do something that harsh to deserve three years of punishment? :P Nevermind, I don’t want to get in any fights that could cause me to get blocked again. :P

  • Re: "why are we capitalizing X"?

    We aren't

    I am

    Out of habit

Because once upon a time, bō didn't lead to Bō, mutant didn't link to Mutant... I actually don't know when Wikia made the change. I didn't realize it until recently.

But yeah, just fix if it bugs you and move on I guess.

  • Why are you moving all of these articles to "Title + Name"? They're supposed to just be at "Name"

    Zak and not Captain Zak

    Xeinos and not Dr. Xeinos

    et cetera.

    • Yeah especially since I've never heard anybody use April Jones or Tang Shen. Honestly I think married names only apply if we don't know the maiden names (Gabrielle Jones, for example)

So I don't think I caught the main point here: Why do you feel like adding titles is beneficial? Is there anything to be gained by having say, Commander Zom vs. just Zom as article titles? That's the reason I have ever changed/introduced anything here... not just because other Wikis did it, but because they did it and it made sense for this place as well. The uniformity was always secondary.

    • I think it is beneficial when you have characters who have the same name.
