Trivia[]
- In After the Bomb by Palladium Books, after the Big Death, a large portion of the land corresponding with real-life Maryland would become the democratic republic of Cardania, the most advanced independent mutant country in that setting. In particular, Cardania included all of the Delmarva Peninsula with most of Delaware, as well as coastal regions along almost the entire shore of the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland and Virginia.
- In the IDW continuity, Mona Lisa's parents live in Maryland. After she mutated in the fallout of Old Hob's mutagen bomb, she like many others was confined to Manhattan's new neighborhood of Mutant Town, and was no longer permitted to leave to visit her parents in Maryland.
