His delusion causes him to be paranoid as he deceives the Turtles into thinking that they're only getting a tour of his SS Starbolt replica home when in actuality he intends to imprison them in order to protect the world from their perceived villainy. However, once Leonardo persuades him that peace can be forged between turtle aliens and him, he is friendly towards them.
Marcus enjoys the spotlight and leading to the point where he can be self-absorbed and take others for granted as Red Fox reveals in "Sidekick Ahoy!" that despite all the adventures her and him went on together, Marcus never acknowledged her contributions. He later learns to express appreciation to Red Fox for her friendship and skills.
History[]
Marcus debuted in "Jupiter Jim Ahoy!". He was approached by the Turtles at Galaxy Con and immediately began reenacting one of his films with them after seeing their cosplay as turtle aliens. He then invited the Turtles to his apartment to see his harpoon ray and they were amazed that his apartment was a replica of Jupiter Jim's SS Starbolt spacecraft. He then let Leo and Michelangelo into his Hall of Victories where he paralyzed them with his nerve pinch and imprisoned them in a glass display of the homeworld of the turtle aliens they cosplayed as. It became apparent that Marcus genuinely believes himself to be his fictional character Jupiter Jim and that he needs to dispatch the threat that is posed by cosplayers of the Jupiter Jim as he believed they characters they depicted were real. He was confronted by Raphael and Donatello and fought them in his Crushasaurus Mech, but Donnie learned how to reverse Marcus' nerve pinch and freed Leo and Mikey. Marcus' hostility towards the Turtles ceased after Leo convinced him to forge peace between turtle aliens and himself, to which he agreed and let the Turtles and cosplayers return home.
Marcus reappeared in "Sidekick Ahoy!". Marcus expressed remorse for his previous actions and although he still sees himself as the bonafide Jupiter Jim, he returned to his cordial and eccentric nature that he first displayed towards the Turtles, this time genuine. He asked the Turtles for help finding another sidekick to replace Red Fox after she quit the position. He then held a competition between Donnie, Mikey, and Leo for the position, but ended up choosing Raph despite the fact he wasn't a contestant. Marcus then visited the New York Zoo with Raph to search for his enemy Scor-Pion. Eventually, Marcus and Raph were lured into the zoo's storage facility where they were captured and suspended over a pool of acid by Scor-Pion. They were rescued by Donnie, Mikey, and Leo dispatching the stinger bombs attached to them and ultimately by the sudden appearance of Red Fox who prevented Marcus and Raph from falling into the acid vat after Scor-Pion cut the rope that held them. After Scor-Pion fled the warehouse, Marcus finally thanked Red Fox for her aid and left the Turtles with his friendship with Red Fox repaired.

Trivia[]
- It is currently unknown how long Marcus has been playing the role of Jupiter Jim, however, the cover of Jupiter Jim Super Collector's Edition Number 1000 features a modern-day version of 2020s Jupiter Jim and a past version of him from the 1970s ("Jupiter Jim Ahoy!").
- In "Jupiter Jim Ahoy!", Donnie says that Marcus is the original Jupiter Jim, implying that Marcus no longer plays the character, and that there are (or were) other actors who succeed him in portraying Jupiter Jim.
- Marcus' franchise seemingly rivals that of Lou Jitsu, as they mention each other's respective franchises in separate episodes (Splinter in "Jupiter Jim Ahoy!" and Marcus in "Sidekick Ahoy!"). Marcus labels Lou Jitsu as the "worst" ("Sidekick Ahoy!") and finds it strange that Lou Jitsu films usually write supporting characters deactivating explosives as opposed to Lou Jitsu himself when the opposite is true for the Jupiter Jim franchise.
