In the Archie continuity, Manmoth is a caveman who got mutated into a prehistoric mammoth due to the fact that his outfit is made out of a mammoth's hide.
History[]
The character debuted in TMNT Meet Archie #1 where a caveman in a block of ice was fished out of the harbor after the boat carrying it had an accident. When he pumped the mutagen into the ice, Shredder couldn't control Manmoth and ordered Bebop and Rocksteady into destroying it. The Turtles had their encounter with Manmoth before it was knocked into the frozen harbor by Bebop and Rocksteady. The Turtles were unable to fish him out..
Manmoth also appeared in the TMNT Adventures #41 story titled "...And Deliver Us from Evil."
