After discovering that their family was kidnapped by the Nacho Dragon, Raphael and Michaelangelo decide that they need a magic sword in order to defeat the dragon. Raph wonders where they would get a magic sword in the sewer and suddenly a female arm, holding a sword, rises up from the sewer water. Mike goes to grab the sword but gets pulled into the water. After a moment, he comes back up with sword in hand. As soon as he’s out of the water, April O'Neil rises up and demands that the sword stealing scalawags give it back.
April spotted the sword glowing while she was investigating a story about illegal dumping in the sewers. The Turtles explain to her that they need the sword in order to save Splinter, Leonardo and Donatello. She leaves the sword with them and leaves to go back to work. The Turtles then learn, through a happy accident, that the sword is magic and grants its user three wishes. After it returns them to the lair, Mike says he wishes he knew what happened and the second wish is granted as the sword speaks. The magic sword is both sarcastic and insulting, calling Mike a doof for trying to wish for a billion more wishes.
While trying to figure out what to do with the last wish, Mikey states that he wishes Splinter, Don and Leo were there to help them think. The final wish is granted when the three family members are zapped back to the lair and out of the clutches of the dragon. While continuing to fling insults at the Turtles and most of humanity, the sword tells them it wishes to have its own morning drive talk show. Mike has had enough of the sword's comments and tosses it back into the sewer water in the tunnels.
