In the IDW continuity, Lupo was a gangster who allied himself with Darius Dun and the Street Phantoms. He first encountered the Turtles during a meeting with the Phantoms, which was interrupted by the arrival of Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and a squadron of Foot Ninja. He confidently declared that the Foot were now replaced by the Street Phantoms as a force to be reckoned with, but was told otherwise by Leonardo.
Shortly thereafter, Lupo's arms shipment for Dun and the Phantoms was looted by the Mutanimals. Lupo and his men attempted to drive them off, but were unsuccessful.
During the Turtles' infiltration of Dun's corporation, Lupo and his men attempted to kill them. However, they were defeated by the arrival of Casey Jones and the Purple Dragons, who had allied themselves with the Foot Clan.
Lupo was executed by Splinter in City at War, part 2 for breaking his oath of loyalty to the Foot Clan.
