Synopsis[]

Splinter sits in the lair meditating, when suddenly he has an out-of-body experience and sees visions of a world destroyed by pollution. Coming back to consciousness with a panic, he alerts Donatelo and Leonardo, who were nearby, and he urges them to call their friends and gather them together. Donnie summons Dreadmon, Manta, Wingnut and Pico-Chueco, and Termidator. They all arrive from their corners of the world/galaxy and Splinter prepares to tell them the problem.

He breaks the present folks up into groups to tackle specific tasks: Moycat, Wingnut, Pico-Chueco, and Donnie will make efforts in restoring the ozone layer, Rafael and Manta will head to the ocean to begin rehabilitation, Miguel Ángel and Dreadmon return to the Amazon rainforest via Tortuga Blimp; Dreadmon complains about their travel speed. In the ocean, Rafa and Manta witness pollutant contamination, and Donnie's team heads up to low orbit in Moycat's car. Leo and Termidator take the latter's motorcycle through Times Square.

From the Blimp, Dreadmon spots some loggers. Miguel suggests that they ask if they have a permit to be cutting down trees there. He goes to ask when they land, but the loggers turn their guns on them, giving them an implied answer. After retreating to the bushes, Dreadmon gets fed up enough to rush at them with his super speed.

In low orbit, after utilizing Donnie's device seven times in an effort to repair the ozone hole, Wingnut begins to go a little batty and returns to New York City to pitch rocks randomly. Moycat flies his car back to the city and Pico-Chueco flies out and stings Wingnut, making him drowsy enough to falter and fall into the car's sunroof.

Meanwhile in the ocean, Manta and Rafa have discovered that some nearby fishermen have caught a bunch of dolphins in their fishing nets as well as fish. They rip the net free and when the fishers bring up their "catch", they find only the two mutants inside, who go on the immediate attack. Manta then notices a nearby boat spilling oil into the sea and they dive in to go stop it, but neither of them can see or swim through the gunk. After surfacing, Rafa decries peoples' inability to care about the planet at all.

Back in Times Square, Leo and Termidator are much less conspicuous than they hope to be, and a passerby notices that they're ecologists even though they're anthropomorphs in sunglasses and biker jackets. Leo notices a woman emptying a trash can onto the street; Termidator confronts her and she tells him off.

These events cause the Tortugas and their friends to get fed up and declare their mission impossible. They return to the lair to bring up their complaints to Splinter, who says that they still aren't enough power to change things on their own, after which he declares that the reader needs to help them, too.
