[Opening sequence and theme song.]
[Open in the Turtle Lair. Leonardo is seated on the floor reading a book as an alarm starts to blare.]
Leonardo "What's that? Guys? Oh, that's right. They went out.
What in the world? It sounds like a distress signal.
Hello. Can you hear me? Oh, great.
Someone could be in terrible trouble. Oh, where's that portable tracker of Donatello's?
Ah, found it.
Uh-oh! Whoa!
I'll clean this up later. I've got to find the source of that signal!
Master Splinter, I've got a-- Oh.
I'd better not disturb the sensei while he's meditating."
[He goes into Donatello’s lab where he finds that the alarm is coming from his computer.]
What in the world? It sounds like a distress signal.
[He picks up the microphone.]
Hello. Can you hear me? Oh, great.
[He finds that the cord is broken.]
Someone could be in terrible trouble. Oh, where's that portable tracker of Donatello's?
[He scavenges around on a table.]
Ah, found it.
[He knocks over a bookcase.]
Uh-oh! Whoa!
[There is a sizzle of electricity from the computer, as it has been broken. Leonardo begins picking up books and doesn’t notice his Turtlecom slipping out of his belt.]
I'll clean this up later. I've got to find the source of that signal!
[He heads for Splinter’s room.]
Master Splinter, I've got a-- Oh.
[Splinter is seated on the rug, meditating.]
I'd better not disturb the sensei while he's meditating."
[He leaves the lair. A while later, the other Turtles return to the lair.]
Michelangelo "Man, that new video arcade is totally awesome!"
Raphael "Yeah. Bet my giant lizard ate more buildings than your three-headed dragon."
Donatello "Oh, yeah? Well, my super space destroyer blew up more planets than your ultra star cruiser."
Michelangelo "Hey, dudes, don't forget my Kung Fu streetfighter kicked down more doors than your evil crime lord."
Raphael "Isn't it nice to have a place where you can relax and forget the cares of the day? Hey, Leonardo, you should've been there. It-- huh? Where'd he go? Anybody seen Leonardo?"
Michelangelo "No sign of him here, dude."
Donatello "Hey guys, better take a look at this."
[They follow him to the lab.]
Michelangelo "Holy guacamole! What happened here?"
Raphael "Whoa. If I didn't know better, I'd say there'd been a fight."
Donatello "But what happened to Leonardo?"
Michelangelo "I don't know, but here's his Turtlecom!"
Donatello "He'd never leave without it."
Raphael "Unless he was dragged off!"
Donatello "Guys, I don't like this. We'd better start looking for him."
[Cut to the Technodrome in the Arctic.]
Krang "Of all the places the Technodrome's ever been stranded, this is, without a doubt, the most boring! There must be some kind of evil I can get into somewhere on this forsaken planet! [His monitor begins beeping and a red dot appears on the map.] What the-- I don't believe it."
Shredder "What is it?"
Krang "A highly concentrated source of energy! Billions and billions of mega-volts."
Shredder "And it's just outside the city!"
Krang "Why, there's enough energy there to blow the entire planet off its axis!"
Shredder "So how does that help us?"
Krang "Follow me on this one. A shift to the Earth's proximity to the sun would reverse the entire climate of the planet."
Shredder "The polar ice caps would melt, and the Technodrome would be freed!"
Krang "Exactly. And the city would be plunged into a new ice age, paralyzing it for our conquest."
Shredder "So, you found the energy. Huh. But where you gonna get a contraption large enough to jolt the Earth off its axis?"
Krang "I already have it. Follow me.
These are the components of my Hyper Thruster, a little project of mine I whipped up on a slow day.
The Foot Soldiers can transport it and assemble it outside the city, while you and I locate that energy source."
[He leads the way to one of the labs.]
These are the components of my Hyper Thruster, a little project of mine I whipped up on a slow day.
[Foot Soldiers pick up sections of the machine.]
The Foot Soldiers can transport it and assemble it outside the city, while you and I locate that energy source."
[Shift to the Turtles driving through the city in the Turtle Van.]
Michelangelo "Still no sign of Leonardo, dudes."
Donatello "And without the homing signal in his Turtlecom, I can't get a fix on him."
Raphael "Hey, what's that?"
Michelangelo "Whoa!
Looks like somebody broke into that building big time!"
[They see that a hole has been blown into the side of the Blowhard Bubble Gum Factory building.]
Looks like somebody broke into that building big time!"
[He turns the Turtle Van and parks next to the opening in the wall.]
Raphael "Well, let's check it out."
Donatello ""Blowhard Bubble Gum Company?" Why would anybody rob this place?"
Raphael "Maybe they're robbing the company safe."
Donatello "Or stealing some top-secret manufacturing equipment."
Michelangelo "Or maybe they just dig bubble gum, like me."
[He blows a big bubble and it bursts all over his face.]
Raphael "No. There's the real reason."
[Filing cabinets are overturned, the drawers pulled out and contents ransacked. Baseball cards are all over the floor.]
Donatello "They're stealing bubble gum baseball cards."
Michelangelo "Why, those dirty, card-cribbing crooks!"
Raphael "Oh, they won't get away with this!"
Donatello "Baseball card-loving kids everywhere are depending on us. Come on!"
[Bebop and Rocksteady, arms loaded with baseball cards, head for the Transport Module.]
Bebop "At last, our baseball card collection is complete."
Rocksteady "A genuine Nolan Ryan! My life is complete."
Raphael "All right, you goons, hold it!"
Donatello "Those cards belong in the collections of all-American boys and girls, not in your germ-ridden hands."
Rocksteady "The Turtles!"
Bebop "Let's show 'em how serious we take our baseball card collecting."
[They fire their laser guns and the Turtles leap out of the way.]
Rocksteady "Oh, you bone domes won't stop us from completing our collections!"
Donatello "Don't you creeps know that you can't get the cards. . . without the bubble gum!"
[He opens a spray nozzle attached to a tank and douses Rocksteady with liquid bubble gum.]
Rocksteady "Ew, yuck!"
Raphael "Mind if I join in?"
[He stretches a solid piece of bubble gum and places it on the nozzle. Donatello fills it and the gum balloon flies across the room before popping all over Bebop.]
Bebop "Oh, no! Yech! Pink is my worstest color."
[Rocksteady manages to tackle Michelangelo.]
Rocksteady "Gotcha!
I'll teach you turtles to mess with us! Yah!"
[They roll around fighting and then Rocksteady lifts Michelangelo off the ground.]
I'll teach you turtles to mess with us! Yah!"
[He throws Michelangelo.]
Michelangelo "Whoa!"
[Having gotten bubble gum all over him from Rocksteady, Michelangelo only goes a short distance before popping back and hitting the mutant rhino.]
Rocksteady "Oof!
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa!"
[[He starts spinning around, with Michelangelo still attached.]
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa!"
Michelangelo "Whoa, whoa, whoa! Whoa, whoa, whoa-- Ugh!"
[Michelangelo snaps loose and hits the side of machine, sliding to the ground upside down.]
Raphael "Michelangelo, buddy! Are you all right?"
Michelangelo "Well, I was until I saw that!"
[Bebop and Rocksteady roll a large machine at the Turtles.]
Turtles "Whoa!"
[The machine crashes into them, trapping the Turtles underneath.]
Raphael "Eek, anybody know the name of a good chiropractor?"
Michelangelo "I'd rather call a weight-lifter."
Donatello "Oh, come on, guys, push!"
[They all grunt as they try to push the machine off.]
Rocksteady "Hey, did you notice? There's only one, two, three of them Turtles."
Bebop "Uh, yeah. They usually come in a handy four-pack."
Michelangelo "Man, I wish Leonardo was here."
Donatello "Oh, yeah, and we still don't have a clue where he is."
Bebop "Did you hear that?"
Rocksteady "Whoo, one of the Turtles is missing. The boss is gonna want to know about this!"
[They snatch up handfuls of baseball cards and run off.]
Donatello "All together now- - push!"
[After some effort, they manage to free themselves.]
Raphael "All right! Now to get Rocksteady and Bebop!"
[The Transport Module drives out of the factory and drills down into the street.]
Donatello "Aw, they got away in the Transport Module."
Raphael "So what else is new?"
[April O’Neil jumps out of the Channel 6 newsvan with her mini-camera in hand.]
April O'Neil "Hey, guys, what did I miss?"
Raphael "Bebop and Rocksteady. But then again, so did we."
April "You four seem different somehow."
Raphael "Don't you mean three?"
April "Hey, that's right! Where's Leonardo?"
Michelangelo "That's what we'd like to know."
Donatello "Let us know if you hear from him, would you?"
April "I sure will."
[They separate. Down in the Technodrome, the Foot Soldiers are loading the parts for Krang’s machine into Transport Modules.]
Shredder "There's just one problem with this plan of yours, Krang."
Krang "Really? What's that?"
Shredder "Those blasted Turtles. Every time we come up with a workable scheme to enslave the world, they show up and boot our butts from here to Hoboken."
[Bebop and Rocksteady arrive in their Transport Module.]
Rocksteady "Boss, have we got news for you!"
Bebop "One of the Turtles is missing."
Rocksteady "Yeah, and none of the other Turtles knows where he is."
Shredder "That's it, Krang; a way to carry out your plan without interference from those miserable shellbacks."
[He walks over to pull a cloth off of a nearby machine.]
Krang "The holographic cloaking machine? What do you want with that?"
Shredder "You'll see. Which one of the Turtles is missing?"
Bebop "Uh, gee, I don't know. They all look alike."
Rocksteady "It's the one in the blue mask."
Shredder "Aha. Leonardo! Bebop, get in the holographic cloaker."
Bebop "Uh, whatever you say, boss."
