Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (movie adaptation)[]
The Ninja Turtles witness Channel 6 ace reporter April O'Neil being attacked by a group of punks and intervene. However, Raphael loses a sai in the fight, which is picked up and stashed away by April. As they head back home, Leonardo is very excited by their victory. When the Turtles reach the lair, Leonardo goes straight to his father, Splinter, and reports that their first battle went well. Later, in a foul mood, Raphael goes out and eventually encounters April again, being attacked by the Foot Clan. He defeats them and takes the now unconscious April back to the lair. Leonardo immediately asks him if he's crazy. Splinter tells April their origin story, and then the Turtles escort her home. However, when they return to the lair, they find it's been trashed and Splinter has been taken. They return to April's apartment and when she opens the door, Leonardo tells her that Splinter is gone.
