Leatherhead is a giant mutant alligator adversary of the Ninja Turtles.
History[]
Leatherhead was mentioned to have been one of the "villains" who had gone missing from New York City, captured by a mysterious Power Ranger. MMPR/TMNT II #1
Leatherhead was conscripted as part of Rita Repulsa's army, fighting alongside Slash, Bebop, Rocksteady, General Traag and his Rock Soldiers, Putty Patrollers, Goldar, Scorpina, Squatt, and Casey Jones. He fights the two Black Rangers, April and Zack, who continuously dodge him. He tells them that they can jump around all they want, but he'll still crack their helmets like eggs. MMPR/TMNT II #2
After the Power Rangers morph into Mutant Rangers, Tommy becomes a Mutant Dragon, he battles Leatherhead. Tommy tells Leatherhead that as fellow lizards, they shouldn't be fighting and that Leatherhead should consider coming over to their side. Leatherhead informs him that when the battle is over, they are giving him all of Louisiana and maybe even some of Florida. Unless Tommy is offering him the entire West Coast, he must decline. Leatherhead tosses an ambulance at Tommy, who dodges it, but then Leatherhead leaps at him. Before his fist can connect, Kimberly, in her new Mutant Pterodactyl form, grabs onto Leatherhead's shoulders and lifts him into the air. She drops him onto the street and then Tommy stomps on him, causing Leatherhead to say that he'll switch sides. Tommy informs him that the offer has expired and Kimberly says she can drop him in the nearest ocean somewhere. MMPR/TMNT II #4
Billy, Tommy, and Alpha 5 are conferring with Zordon. The moment Master Splinter was ionized, Billy picked up a massive energy surge. When Zordon reminds them that Lord Zedd is very powerful, Billy tells them it wasn’t on the Moon. The surge, he says, came from an entirely different dimension in an unexplored region of space. Zordon asks to be sent the location so it can be cross-referenced with the archives. Alpha 5 interrupts to say two massive energy signatures are teleporting down from the Moon. One is in Sydney, Australia and they appear to be Tokka and Rahzar, both pulsing with morphin energy. The second is in Tōkyō, Japan and it’s Karai and Leatherhead. Both pairs have Z-Foot Soldiers with them and are already destroying the cities. MMPR/TMNT III #2
Powers and abilities[]
- Mutant alligator physiology: Leatherhead enjoys the benefits of having a massive mutant alligator body, including, but not limited to, a powerful tail, a strong jaw filled with teeth, and razor sharp claws.
- Brute strength: Along with Leatherheads's size comes strength to match.
