Plot[]
The episode begins at an empty parking lot. The Turtle Tank is parked there and one by one, the Mad Dogs come out of the tank. They are tasked to bring the DVD back to its kiosk and if they donāt until midnight, they will get charged extra.
Thanks to those disguises back at the wrestling match, Leo said that this will be easy to blend in. However, there seemed to be no one there until there was an explosion.
They found themselves on a ferry far away from where the store is. Even though they have plenty of time, they can return the disc until midnight. However, the ferry was stopped because of a movie production in the harbor. MIkey laments and says that theyāll never get Splinterās hugs. Raph said that they should try a new plan and look for a kiosk on land. They swam up to the shore and started to look for the kiosk.
The others found the first kiosk but a Silverfish was sleeping underneath the trash cans and threatened to throw the kiosk at them. Raph used a basketball to strike the silverfish but only to destroy the kiosk.
They began to look for another one but somehow, a man dressed as a wizard is using it. Once they found another one, Raph forgot that he left the DVD cover in the kiosk when Donniw told them to swim to the harbor. Donnie insisted that was Raphās idea.
Leo began to lament that things were never gonna be easy but not. Donnie told everyone that they should take the subway to get there.
As they arrived at the subway, they found the tank where their disc was. Mikey then saw a ticket and they realized they were parked by the kiosk the whole time Raph started to get inside the tank to pick up the DVD but he accidentally switched the lever and knocked down the Kiosk when the tank moved.
When it couldnāt get any worse, a hand snatched the dvd from Raphās hand. It was Ghostbear, who wanted to get revenge by ruining his career when Leo and Raph beat him. Now he is gonna take the dvd from them.
The turtles started to get into the tank and started to chase Ghostbear down the street and into Wiz con, causing them to crash. Donnie activates the Shelldogs for Leo and Mikey to drive after Ghostbear while he pressed on a speed button that makes the tank drive fast.
Leo started to use his sword to make a portal only for the three of them to fall into it and landed outside near a store. Donnie and Raph came in last. Luckily, before midnight, there is another Kiosk. Having an idea, the turtles tricked Ghostbear that they needed really badly so Ghostbear placed the DVD into the kiosk just in time for the turtles to leave Ghostbear, much to his confusion and dismay.
As they returned home, the turtles owed Splinter their hugs.
Quotes[]
- Donnie: New York! What a town!
Trivia[]
- The Mad Dogs wear their wrestling costumes during the main events of the episode.
- While the Mad Dogs are in the subway, passengers that resemble each of the Mad Dogs' voice actors are seen in the foreground.
- Their outfits are also color coded to which Turtle that they voice in the series.
- As the Mad Dogs drive through Wizard-Con, three characters are seen in the crowd resembling Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley.
- With the reveal in "The Evil League of Mutants" that Splinter actually always was Lou Jitsu in mutant form, the plot of this episode boils down to Splinter having his sons return a rented DVD of one of his own movies.
- This episode takes place in-universe sometime in 2018 as seen on a Wizard Con banner beneath the entrance of Denmark Tunnel labeled "Wiz-Con 2018".
Errors[]
- When Mikey listens to Splinter assign the chore in the lair TV room, Mikey's socks are missing as well as the straps of his knee pads.
- The bottom of the Bedtime for Bozos DVD is labeled "LOU JITSU IN BEDTIME FOR BOZOS", however, when it falls into the rental return box, the label disappears.
