Synopsis[]
Rafael and Miguel Ángel are sparring in the common room of the Lair, when Rafa's flying kick misses Miguel and he crashes into Splinter's favorite vase. Splinter enters the room along with Donatelo and Leonardo to see what the commotion is, and sees the shattered vase. Miguel snitches on Rafa and Splinter gets mad at him, taking his sai and punishing him.
Rafa stomps off in frustration, and runs into Bebop and Rocoso, who ambush and attack him. Rafa counterattacks and takes them down, then actually apologizes to them, saying he's angry but not at them. This confuses the two goons, but when he explains his situation, they get the bright idea to pretend that Shredder treats them much better and convinces him to come join them.
Bebop and Rocoso take Rafa to Shredder, surprising their boss. Rocoso tells him that Rafa comes in peace, and Rafa explains his situation again to Shredder. Shredder says that they really aren't that bad and Splinter's assessment of them was overblown, and he says that their next task is to infiltrate nuclear missile bases and steal the plans so that they can destroy them. He offers to let Rafa come along with Rocoso and Bebop on their mission.
The three mutants show up at one of the bases, and Rafa knocks out one of the guards. Rocoso approaches an intercom with someone asking for identification, which he answers by destroying it with his horn. They retrieve the plans, the person on the other end of the intercom sounds an alarm, summoning another security guard. He fires at Rafa, but Bebop takes him down and the three escape.
Abril reports on the break-in, showing the security cam's captured image of the intruders. Splinter is watching the news and is shocked to find his missing son is one of the culprits. The other Tortugas come in, and Splinter explains what he's seen. They go hunting for their lost brother, only to find him and the other two mutants moving through the sewers. Bebop and Rocoso attack the Tortugas, and both sides try to get Rafael to aid them. Shredder appears and asks Rafa for the plans, and Bebop accidentally lets it slip that he's going to use them to take over the world. Rafa regains his composure and lashes out at his former comrades. Leo throws him one of his katana and he holds the villains at swordpoint long enough for them to actually be the ones to retreat.
Back at the lair, Rafa apologizes to Splinter and asks if he could ever forgive him. Splinter also apologizes, saying that he overreacted. He hands Rafa a bottle of glue so he can put the case back together.
Later, Rafa burns the stolen plans with a match.
