Land of Stone is a location in Dimension X in the Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles comic strips. It is the home of the Stone Warriors.
History[]
After Mad Pig Pete hypnotized Leonardo into obeying Mad Cow Denise, she proposed to take the Hero Turtles on a trip to the Land of Stone. The others understandably wanted no part in having a little jaunt with the cow-woman that had just betrayed them, but Leo demanded they all go, using his leadership as leverage. The Turtles all piled onto Denise's shuttle and she dropped them off in the Land of Stone, then abandoned them there.
Leonardo insisted they explore the landscape, much to his brothers' reluctance. They came across some large militaristic statues, which upon approaching, came to life. The Stone Warriors attacked, and Leo insisted they just charge at them. His brothers thought him insane and rolled giant stone columns at them, crushing and shattering them. Leonardo became enraged that they defied his orders, and attacked Raphael for disobeying orders. After one good kick that knocked him on his back, Leo came back to his senses and told them that Pete and Denise were controlling him after Pete dragged him through a time warp.
The Turtles tried to figure out a way out of the Land of Stone, and were fortunate enough to see Bebop and Rocksteady cruising by in a microplane. They pretended to be unconscious or dead when they came near, and jumped them, taking their vehicle and tying them to the hood. The Turtles flew off to find Denise's shuttle, and upon locating it, set the plane on autopilot to send them far away from there.
