Koro is a character in the 1987 animated TV series. He appears in the episode The Legend of Koji.
History[]
Having traveled back in time to ancient Japan in order to aid Hamato Koji in his quest to find two magical relics, the Turtles, Splinter and Koji encounter a giant in the woods. He states that his name is Koro, and in battle he is invincible. Koro attacks and with one blow, knocks everyone aside. The Turtles and Koji rise and charge at Koro, but he catches all of them in his arms before tossing them on the ground. Koji fears that the giant's strength may be too much for even the five of them. Donatello has an idea and tells his brothers to help him carry a log, which he places on a large rock. Then Leonardo and Koji start chopping on the base of a tree. Koro calls them all little fools and demands to know why they don't fight. Donatello replies that it's because they are busy defeating him. Laughing, Koro informs them that he can never be defeated. Donatello assures him that he can and tells him to just step on the end of the log. Saying that he's not afraid of them, Koro climbs onto the log. Leonardo and Koji deliver the final blows to the base of the tree, which lands on the other end of the log and catapults Koro into the air. He lands on a large shrine, smashing it to pieces. Koro sits up with the realization he's been defeated. Saying that he cannot bear the disgrace, he decides to retire and lead a peaceful life. He strides away.
