The Komori Ninja are anthropomorphic bat Ninja. This clan is the foremost rival of the Neko Ninja clan.
The Komori have winged bodies which enable them to fly with ease, and due to the elasticity of their wing structure, with great maneuverability. The clan typically arm themselves with long sword blades which they use to line the edges of their wings. This makes for devastating attacks in flight. The Komori’s powers seem greatest at night, and they plan their attacks accordingly.
In the Shades of Green crossover series, the Komori are first mentioned by Gunji during his conversation with Chizu. The Neko Ninja report to Lord Hikiji and Gunji reminds Chizu that their lord has been recruiting the Komori Ninja for his recent undertakings, as the Neko Clan has fallen out of his favor. Chizu insists that the Komori do not pose a threat that they cannot handle.
While they are arguing, Chizu hears a noise on the roof. They run outside and spot two Komori Ninja taking flight. Chizu sounds the alarm about Komori spies and says that they must not escape. One of the Komori tells the others to leave and that he will take care of the Neko Ninja.
The first Komori is pulled from the sky when a Neko Ninja wraps the chain of a kusarigama around his neck. The Komori slashes the back of a Neko with his wing blade as he comes down, but as he begins to take flight again, Gunji slays him. Chizu kills the second one with two well thrown shuriken.
An angered Chizu rants about how they dare spy of them, and Gunji reminds her that she said they were not a real threat. Chizu agrees that he’s right and there can be only one response to their affront – war.
