Karen Todd is a character in the Le Tartarughe Ninja comics.
History[]
Because of an unidentified monster, New York City's Central Park has been declared off-limits. One night, the Tartarughe Ninja stake out the park. Suddenly, a noise from the bushes draws Leonardo's attention. Sword drawn, Leo leaps from hiding and startles a woman who is hiding nearby. The woman, Karen Todd, says he scared her and then realizes he’s a mutant. Leo replies that she seems to know about mutants and then introduces himself. He tells her she’s in danger and asks if she hasn’t heard about the monster. The woman responds that the monster is an animal she was treating in her laboratory and which escaped. She prepared a bottle with the scent of his favorite food and is releasing it into the air so that he’ll come out of hiding.
The scent works as a huge gorilla rushes towards them. Working together, the Tartarughes manage to knock the gorilla down and then Todd uses a device which activates the shock collar around the gorilla's neck. A van soon appears and several men load the gorilla inside. Todd explains that he will wake up safely within the walls of the laboratory where he will receive both food and affection. She thanks the Tartarughes for their assistance and asks them to keep this a secret. Leo replies that if she keeps them a secret, they will return the favor. Todd also promises to take care of notifying the authorities that the danger of the monster has ended.
