Plot[]
Open in New York City, where we can see one young man running away from someone. As he ends up in a dead end, young man begs him for mercy, but mysterious man doesn't listen and knocks him out cold with his staff...
In the the lair, the Turtles and Serling are trying to figure out what's happening to Splinter now. Suddenly, a shadow arrives and with some newfound ninjutsu skills, defeats the Turtles. It turns out to be Casey Jones. April O'Neil arrives too, and she, along with Casey are overjoyed of seeing their friends.
April and Casey have changed. They meet Serling and also find out the Turtles were in the future and Splinter is gone. Casey explains that he knows karate since he is attending the karate school. He knows that he is late and runs off, with April saying to Casey that the Turtles have returned and asks Casey to stay and celebrate their reunion for a little while, but Casey says that being late is disrespectful. April feels something's off about Casey, since he is so punctual.
Meanwhile, Casey arrives at Khan's Dojo, where it turns out his master is Khan. It turns out that Khan is the same villain that the Turtles fought, along with three Shredders in the future, back in the previous episode, Tempus Fugit. Khan then hits a gong with his staff and hypnotizes Casey and the other students (along with the same kid that Khan captured back in the very beginning of the episode).
Cut to the lair. April is very worried about Casey attendance at the karate school and asks the Turtles to find out if Casey's okay. The Turtles go, all except Donatello. He is still traumatized over what happened to Master Splinter, so he remains in the laboratory to try to find out what happened to his sensei.
As the Turtles arrive at the dojo, they look through a window to see that there are students training. Michelangelo comments that it looks normal enough, they then notice Khan grabbing his staff and walking away. The Turtles believe that this is Casey's teacher. Suddenly, Khan appears from behind the Turtles. The man then pushes them inside, causing them to fall inside the dojo, with the students surrounding them.
Seeing them surrounded, Khan maliciously tells the Turtles that he has been waiting for them this entire time. The Turtles glare at Khan and they remember him as the same villain they had fought back in the future. Khan once again hits the gong with his staff, hypnotizing Casey and his students once more, and the students attack.
The Turtles decide not to use their weapons on them, since they're kids. So they fight them and defeat them with ease. Casey attacks them with all of ninjutsu skills he has been taught, but now it is more brutal. The Turtles have finally got Casey back to his senses and destroy the dojo, causing a large chuck of ceiling to fall on Khan. Students escape the destroyed dojo, while the Turtles then take Casey with them and go back home.
Cut back to the lair, Casey thanks April for worrying about him. April tells the others that Donny still couldn't forgive himself after what happened to Master Splinter. Donatello then works on his computer and notices something on the screen, and the others see Master Splinter on an unknown cube, whispering: "My sons." Everyone is shocked about what is happening to Master Splinter now. They decide to investigate further and learn all they can.
Back in the destroyed dojo, Khan is revealed to be alive, having survived the destruction of his school. As he recovers, the computer screen appears and projects an image of Cyber Shredder.

Trivia[]
- April stated that the turtles were gone for a whole year, meaning that it is possible that everyone is a year older now, making the Turtles nineteen years of age and the events of the previous episode before the turtles and Serling went home was set in 2106. They would turn twenty during the Back to the Sewer season.
