In the Genesis version of Tournament Fighters, if the player beats Karai, but has not accomplished this at a high enough difficulty level, the real Karai will appear and tell the Ninja Turtles that they have only destroyed her clone and that she still awaits their challenge, before the credits roll.
Unlike the other clones in the game, Karai's clone is not given a different name or palette, as it is supposed to be a surprise to the player that they have not been given a chance to fight the real Karai.
Karai informs the player that they have only beaten a clone.
