Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles issue 1[]
Following an encounter with the Turtles, the Foot Clan returns to their headquarters, where Karai delivers as lesson on learning from your enemies, because each defeat at their hands forges one into a better self. She speaks of one who learned from past mistakes and rose up to crush his enemies. Later, Karai meets privately with Tommy Oliver to tell him that he fought well, telling him that he has made an impression in the three weeks he's been with them. She relays that her master has a special task for him, but first wants to know who he is and what he wants. His answer appears to have satisfied her, because he is sent on the special task. When he is successful, despite engaging in another fight with the Turtles, Karai learns that he is the Green Power Ranger. She also learns that her master, Shredder knew it all along.
