The Turtles find themselves on an unspecified, humid Jungle Planet in the episode Turtle Trek of the 1987 TV series after following Shredder and Krang through a portal into Dimension X. The Turtles are immediately set upon by native fauna: a large, T-Rex type predator with razor sharp teeth, long ears, pupil-less yellow eyes, and brown skin covered with spikes that it can use as projectiles. The Turtles escape its grasp by waking up an even bigger monster: a yeti-like animal with spikes adorning its body. Not long after that, the Turtles enter a space harbor where they are attacked by a group of criminals called the "Wrecking Crew", although the TMNT emerge victorious and escape the planet with their spacecraft.
