Dr. Josefina Bishop is one of the main villains in the 2024 Tales of the TMNT TV series from the Mechazoid arc.
History[]
Dr. Josefina Bishop was born either without a left arm or lost it at some point, leading to her creating a cybernetic arm.
She has a sister named Elena, who was born without legs. Josefina made her some prosthetic ones, which led to her dedicating herself to creating robots, in the hope that technology will help life people up to achieve their full potential, like her sister.
One time in college, a disaster landed her on the FBI's watchlist.
At some point, Josefina approached Roderick Underwood, Sr. to fund her project as well as gave him a demonstration of a Mechazoid. However, Roderick was too occupied with business to concentrate and only accepted if she hired his son, Rod Jr., as her intern. This included doubling her funding, to which she accepted, but she mostly made Rod her errand boy. The day Superfly attacked New York, the Mechazoid pushed Bishop out of the way before she would get stomped, and seeing the turtles, she begins her vendetta on them. Bishop Makes Her Move
Not long after the Mechazoid attack, Bishop turned herself over to the Earth Protection Force, who actually recruit her, sharing her belief about mutants being a danger.Night of the Mechazoids
Learning that Donatello was rebuilding Mechazoid 04, Bishop arranged for him and fellow students, Ian and Irma, to attend NitroBotics, in hopes of taking the Mechazoid back.Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (comics) #1
