Jersey City is a non-fictional city in the state of New Jersey in the United States. The city is part of the highly urbanized Tri-State Area that includes New York City, and like NYC it borders Upper New York Bay. Nearby Liberty Island is officially part of the NYC borough of Manhattan but is surrounded by Jersey City's territorial waters.
