The Jersey Bight is a huge pearl, thought to be the largest in existence, that appears in the Tales of the TMNT.

History[]

Deep in the East River there was a habitat considered wonderous by the aquatic residents who dwelled there. All felt safe there around the giant pearl which was nestled inside a huge bivalve shell. This was the home of the East River Three, before they were mutated.

After they were mutated, their friends and family kicked them out. Though not happy about this, they took comfort in the fact that those left behind were kept safe by the pearl. Unfortunately, the pearl was soon brought up from the deep by a group of fishermen in a fishing vessel. Days later, the East River Three learn that the pearl, now called the Jersey Bight, was on loan to the Natural History Museum in New York City. An angry Goldfin, leader of the East River Three, decides that they are going to steal it back.
