Some TMNT stuff really isn't for little kids. |
Jennika is one of the five Ninja Turtles of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles vs. Street Fighter continuity.
History[]
As the history of the characters of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles vs. Street Fighter are hinted to have played out differently than the mainstream IDW continuity, it's unknown how exactly her origins differ from the main Jennika. She is mentioned as having previously worked for Shredder, but in this continuity he remains an enemy after the events of The Armageddon Game, and brands Jennika a "traitor". In the original continuity, Jennika mutated and left the Foot Clan while Shredder was dead, and only ever interacted with him as an ally post-resurrection.
All five Turtles made their way to Atlantic City when Raphael learned of a fighting tournament that was alleged to feature the world's best fighters. Raph wanted to prove their mettle and were still worthy. They hitched a ride in the back of a semi truck and arrived there for the tournament.
Of the Turtles, Raph had the first bout, against the United States Air Force Colonel Guile. Jennika observed the fight, which saw Raph disqualified due to the directive of the tournament's operator, M. Bison. After the fight, while Raph takes out his rage on the nearby Casino, Leonardo takes interest in the apparent missing fighters. Jennika rebukes the idea, saying none of them had gone missing, but they'd all just gotten lost in the "debauchery" of Atlantic City. Jennika also watches Michelangelo's loss to Chun-Li. Next, Leo wins his match against Ryu, and Donatello faces Ken Masters. During this fight, Mikey and Leo try to talk to Chun-Li about the mysterious goings-on and try to get on the same page, but after Raph and Guile come to blows again, Jennika tries to defuse the situation - by throwing Ryu into the ring, causing him to collide with Don. This causes the two sides to erupt in an all-out brawl that spills into casino. Bison uses this to his advantage, and sends in his Bison Troopers to extract Raph. The Turtles and Street Fighter crew call a truce to fight off the Troopers, but they get away with Raph and Chun-Li. TMNT vs. Street Fighter #2
Jennika, Leo, Don, Mike, Guile, Ryu, and Ken accompanied the casino security foreman to the security office to come up with a plan and observe the monitors for the casino's CCTV cameras. Guile spots a Bison Trooper that had been knocked out previously during their brawl, fleeing the casino, so he and Mike chase after him while the others investigate the city's service tunnels. Ryu makes the deduction that Halo Soda is an anagram for Shadaloo, M. Bison's terrorist organization, and they head toward the bottling plant, fighting Bison Troopers in the tunnels along the way. TMNT vs. Street Fighter #3
The Turtles and Street Fighter crew clean up the tunnels of Bison Troopers and tie them up, when suddenly a fleeing Baxter Stockman plops down from above, right in front of Jennika, much to her surprise. She threatens Baxter with her tekkō-kagi and he spills the beans on his and Bison's plan to fire off a Psycho Bomb that is powered by absorbing the Psycho Power from various fighters with high concentrations of it. They force Baxter along with them so that they can dismantle or disarm the bomb, only to run into a freed Shredder, who Bison had captured to syphon Psycho Power from. Ken and Don take Baxter while Leo, Ryu, and Jenny stay behind to face Shredder.
Shredder assumes that the Hamato Clan are behind his capture, but despite Leo's protests to the contrary, he holds fast in his belief, calling him a liar. The three of them take on Shredder, only to be felled. Jennika gets a second wind and lands a strike on Saki. Shredder takes all three of them down again. TMNT vs. Street Fighter #4
The three rise again and take on Shredder a third time, in time for Guile, Mike, Ken, and the now-free Chun-Li and Raph to arrive. Mikey tries to talk Saki into helping them, but he is struck for his trouble. Saki beats Chun-Li as well, and heads off to fight Bison. Jennika, Guile, Ken, Ryu, Mikey, and Leo take the fight to the two villains, hoping that they could wear each other down a bit or be distracted enough for them both to be beaten. Meanwhile, Raph absorbs the Psycho Power in the Psycho Bomb and easily takes out Shredder and Bison, casting them into the bay. Raph lets out all of the Psycho Power building up in him and falls down in exhaustion. Jennika checks for a heartbeat and doesn't find one, but Raph awakens and teases her for not knowing how to check a pulse properly.
The Turtles say their goodbyes and pile into the back of a truck to head back to New York, but Raph and Guile decide to have a rematch on top of the truck on the way. TMNT vs. Street Fighter #5
