In the IDW continuity, J. Perry is an unseen character who only makes themselves known in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Micro-Series issue 3 in a fictional text-only online forum where they are posting under the username PROF_J_PERRY. Also posting to the same forum are Donatello (as DUZ_MACHINES_84) and Harold Lilja (as KIRBY_FAN01). Perry asks Don if he plans to attend the New World Expo. Beyond this exchange, Perry is never independently identified by appearance, and nothing is known about their species, gender or other in-person characteristics.
