Summary[]
Inside the editorial offices of Canale 6 news, delivery people have been bringing in flowers and boxes of gifts. Barney Thompson has had enough, and tells Vernon Fenwick that this is not a star’s dressing room. Vernon chuckles that April overdid it, so Barney turns to April to fuss at her about her fans. However, April tells him he’s wrong because the flowers and gifts are all for Irma. Barney can’t believe it and thinks the world has gone crazy. April asks Irma about her admirer, saying there should be no secrets between friends. Irma informs her that her admirer's name is Edgar and she can’t wait to introduce April to him. She asks if April wants to come to dinner with them tonight, and April accepts with pleasure.
A few hours later, Irma, April and Edgar are having dinner at a restaurant. When April tells Edgar that it’s nice to meet him, he responds in kind and then says he already knows her. Irma is surprised, saying he never told her that. Edgar replies that he doesn’t know April personally, but that he follows all her newscasts. He especially follows the one regarding the Ninja Turtles because he’s a huge fan of theirs. Edgar then asks if the next time April sees them, to hold them back and call him. He would give anything to meet them. Irma throws an arm over Edgar’s shoulder and asks April to please do this for him. April says she’ll try, but no promises. When the waiter arrives to take their orders, Edgar says that he recommends the provolone, as it’s sensational. He adds that he is very hungry for cheese. As April examines the menu, she hears a cat meow and looks down. A cat rubs against her legs and then hops onto her lap. When April looks over at Edgar, she is surprised to see him cowering behind the table. He tells her that cats terrify him. April thinks that he is a strange guy as she watches as Irma consoles Edgar.
Later, April is visiting the lair and Leonardo asks her if she would like to make an appointment with the guy. April asks him to be kind and to do it for Irma. Donatello thinks he’s worth knowing because he’s a brave man. April says he’s not, and wonders what makes him think that. Donatello replies that it takes guts to get engaged with Irma.Raffaello also makes a comment about Irma and April calls them naughty, but says she’ll forgive them if they agree to meet Edgar. Leonardo agrees, but says they will have to be cautious. Splinter says that he’s right, because after all, Edgar is a stranger.
The meeting takes place in the park. April first introduces Edgar to Michelangelo. Edgar holds out a hand, but Michelangelo tells him that handshakes can wait because first there must be a little formality. He proceeds to search Edgar, who wants to know why. Michelangelo informs him that they have a lot of enemies. After determining that he’s okay, Michelangelo asks about the spray bottle that Edgar is holding. Edgar says it’s just some perfume for Irma. As she reaches for the bottle, Edgar pulls it away, telling Irma that he’d prefer to give it to her later. Michelangelo turns towards the bushes and says that everything is okay, so they can come out. Donatello and Leonardo come out of hiding and introduce themselves. Leonardo explains that Raffaello couldn’t come because he has a cold.
Edgar says it doesn’t matter, as three out of four is still a success. He grabs the bulb on the sprayer and Irma demands to know if this is a joke. Michelangelo wants to know if Edgar intends to perfume them to death. Edgar apologizes to Irma and tells her he’d rather not, but Shredder would punish him. Inside the sprayer is mutagenic liquid. He tells the Turtles goodbye as he gets ready to spray them. Behind him, Raffaello suddenly jumps out of a trash can and grabs Edgar’s arms. Edgar shouts that he must finish his task, but in the struggle, the bottle hits a brick wall and breaks. The contents splatter Edgar and Leonardo urges Raffaello not to touch the liquid. Raffaello backs away from Edgar, saying he only bathes on Sundays.
Leonardo examines the broken bottle and says it’s too bad that there’s not enough left for Splinter. Donatello says it didn’t go to waste and points out Edgar. He wasn’t really human. The liquid brought him back to his original shape. Standing amongst Edgar’s clothes is a little rat. Michelangelo guesses that Shredder must have transformed him just for this mission. April realizes this is why Edgar feared cats and loved cheese. Irma bends down and picks up the rat, sighing at the fact that she’s single again. April goes to console her friend, but Irma says that now she can keep her Edgar with her always. Raffaello chuckles and says he bets Edgar is also happy not to have to return to the Tecnodromo.
