In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Rizzoli), Irma is a secretary working for Canale 6 news. This version of Irma is based on Irma Langenstein from the 1987 TV series.
History[]
When flowers and wrapped gifts are delivered in a near constant stream to the Canale 6 offices, Barney Thompson and Vernon Fenwick are under the impression that they are for April O'Neil. She quickly disabuses them of that notion and explains that all of gifts and bouquets are for Irma. April then asks Irma who the generous donor is and adds that friends don't keep secrets. Irma explains that the gifts came from Edgar and asks April to go to dinner with them. April joins them for dinner at a restaurant and meets Edgar, who claims to have an admiration for the Turtles. He asks her to arrange for him to meet them and Irma begs April to do it on his behalf. April sets up the meeting, but Edgar is not who he claims to be, having been sent by Shredder with a mutagenic liquid that will return the Turtles to their original form. The bottle is broken during a struggle with Raffaello and it spills all over Edgar. Everyone is surprised to see that Edgar was actually a rat that had been mutated by Shredder. Irma picks up Edgar the rat and says that she's single again. When April tells her how sorry she is, Irma says that now she'll be able to keep her Edgar with her always.
