The Interstate Bridge is a road bridge across the Hudson River in New York City. It appears in the episode Curse of the Evil Eye of the 1987 TV series, where Shredder threatens to use the Eye of Sarnath to destroy the Interstate Bridge, as a way to demonstrate his power while beginning his conquest of Earth.
Using the Turtle Blimp, the Turtles track Shredder to the bridge, where he has used the Eye of Sarnath to create an army of stone monsters to destroy the bridge. When Shredder spots the Turtles, he attempts to use the Eye on them, but its powers are reflected as the Turtles have borrowed Ancient Roman golden shields from the Museum of Natural History, after learning from Blodgett that the Eye is resistant to gold. The Turtles then warn Shredder that the Sarnath-o-meter was designed to destroy the Eye of Sarnath. Shredder quickly throws his helmet with the Eye and the Sarnath-o-meter into the river water, just in time before an explosion. When the dust clears, Shredder has disappeared.
