Innsmouth is a fictional town in Essex County in Massachusetts, USA. The town was created by noted horror author H.P. Lovecraft.

Innsmouth in TMNT

• Innsmouth appears in the story "Men of Shadow" as the seat of the resurrected Dagon cult. The climax of this story takes place in a warehouse at the docks of the city, where the Esoteric Order of Dagon conjures up their god to destroy mankind, until the ritual is interrupted by the combined efforts of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Casey Jones, and Clark Ashton Allard.
• Much of the In the Dark storyline of the the TMNT Adventures comic books, is set there. But in this version it is a modern industrial city, which disposes of its toxic waste in an illegal and environmentally harmful manner. This, however, finally retaliates when the generated environmental toxins produce three mutants, which then seek revenge on mankind. Certain elements of Lovecraft's original story are used here, but neither the Old Gods nor the Deep Ones are listed here.
